How to file TM30 online, step by step
The Immigration Bureau's online notification system lives at tm30.immigration.go.th. You can notify one foreign guest at a time, or many at once with an Excel upload. Here's the full process.
The TM30 online filing process
- 1
Register your account
Enter your details and upload your Thai ID or passport along with your house registration book (or lease), then submit the registration.
- 2
Verify your email within 7 days
Click the verification link Immigration emails you, then check your inbox for a temporary password before setting your own.
- 3
Add your property's address
Register the accommodation's address once before you can notify any guest staying there.
- 4
Notify one guest at a time
Click to add a guest, enter their passport details, nationality and arrival date, then save.
- 5
Or bulk-upload several guests via Excel
Download the system's example Excel file, fill in every guest's details, then import it. The system shows you the data to check before you confirm — fix and re-upload if any row has an error.
- 6
Print or save the receipt
Open the notification you just filed and print or save it as proof you filed on time.
The system only accepts a notification for the day a guest actually arrives, or shortly after — it won't let you file in advance of their arrival. File on, or just after, the arrival date, within the 24-hour window.
One at a time vs. Excel bulk upload
| Method | Best for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Add one guest | 1–2 foreign guests checking in a day | Fastest — no file to prepare |
| Excel bulk upload | Several foreign guests arriving together, or a multi-room property | One upload covers everyone instead of repeating the same form |
Before you start filing online
Ready
- Property address already registered in the system
- Every guest's passport in hand before you start
- You know the guest's actual arrival date, not the booking date
Not yet
- Email verification still pending
- Planning to find the passport after the guest has already checked in
Where Prime Host fits in
See who needs a TM30 today
The dashboard pulls together today's foreign check-ins so you're not hunting through bookings to find who still needs filing.
A reminder to collect the passport
The same screen reminds staff to ask for the guest's passport at check-in — the information the online form actually needs.
A reminder only, not a filing tool
Prime Host doesn't submit anything to Immigration and can't see whether you've filed. Filing itself still happens at tm30.immigration.go.th.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I file TM30 online?
At the Immigration Bureau's official portal, tm30.immigration.go.th. Register an account, verify it by email, then add your property and notify guests.
Is there a TM30 mobile app?
An app called "Section 38" has been used for TM30 filing, but it has a history of outages. The web portal at tm30.immigration.go.th is the more reliable official channel.
How do I notify several guests at once?
Use the Excel bulk upload: download the system's example file, fill in each guest's passport details, then import it. The system shows the data for you to check before confirming.
How do I prove I filed on time?
After submitting, open the notification in the system and print or save it. Keep that record in case an immigration office asks about a guest's stay later.
Can I file TM30 before a guest arrives?
No — the online system only accepts a notification for the day a guest arrives or shortly after, not in advance. File on the day of arrival, within the 24-hour window.
