How to connect Expedia

You switch connectivity provider yourself from Partner Central. Expedia treats this as a sensitive change, so there's an extra identity check in the middle.

  1. 1

Sign in to Expedia Partner Central

    Use the property owner's account.

  2. 2

Rooms and rates → Connectivity settings

Open this from the left-hand menu.

  3. 3

    Note your Expedia Property ID

Shown top right, under your property name, in Partner Central. You'll enter it in Prime Host.

  4. 4

Pass the “Additional verification required” step

Click Continue, then enter the code Expedia sends you — have your phone or email ready.

  5. 5

Choose Channex for both Connectivity and Bookings

Both have to point to Channex, the connectivity partner Prime Host connects through — then submit the request.

What you get on Expedia

Read-back on every update

A success response is not treated as done. After each rate or availability change we read the value back from Expedia and only then mark it confirmed.

See what the guest really paid

Prime Shield compares the price you sent with what the guest paid and tells you the gap in money.

Real commission, measured

Commission is calculated from your own Expedia reservations, not a fixed number you type in.

Missed reservations recovered

If Expedia fails to deliver a reservation, the system can pull it from the channel queue again.

Expedia reference on every booking

Each reservation shows its Expedia booking reference so you can check it against Partner Central yourself.

Per-channel pricing

Set a different price for Expedia than for other channels.

One calendar

Expedia sits in the same calendar as Booking.com, Airbnb, Agoda and Trip.com.

Good to know before you connect

Works

  • You keep your Expedia contract, commission and payouts — nothing changes on that side
  • You can set a different price for Expedia than for other channels
  • Missed reservations can be recovered automatically

Limits

  • You must select Channex for both Connectivity and Bookings — picking only one leaves the request incomplete
  • The identity verification step needs access to the phone or email on your Expedia account
  • Reservations made before you connected are not imported into history

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to connect Expedia?

The Partner Central steps take a few minutes, plus the time it takes Expedia to send and for you to enter the verification code. After that, you map rooms in Prime Host.

Why does Expedia ask for an extra verification code?

Expedia treats switching connectivity provider as a sensitive account change, so it adds an identity check — a code sent to your phone or email — before it lets you continue.

Do I need to select Channex twice?

Yes. Expedia splits this into two settings, Connectivity and Bookings. Both need to point to Channex, the connectivity partner Prime Host connects through, or the request stays incomplete.

What happens if Expedia fails to send a reservation?

Prime Host can pull it back from the channel queue, the same way it does for Booking.com, Airbnb and Trip.com.

Can I charge a different price on Expedia?

Yes. You can set a per-channel adjustment so Expedia's price differs from Booking.com or your direct site.
